A Few Thoughts About Zombies
Linda March 8th, 2008
I just recently watched 2 zombie movies–one was called “Fido” and was just about the funniest thing I have seen in a looong time. If you don’t know the premise, a boy named “timmy” has a pet zombie. Billy Connely is the zombie, though you wouldn’t know it and Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity in the Matrix movie) is the mother. This movie takes place in the 50′s and is a hoot. The other movie I watched was “Shaun of the Dead.” I had seen the “Night of the Living Dead” by George Romero so I felt I needed (?!) to see this one. It was funny in a british way but some scenes upset my stomach. I am a weanie that way, so while Shuan of the Dead deserved an “R” rating, I don’t think Fido did. Hmmmmmmmmmm, now this got me to thinking about zombies. Such as, if they want to eat human flesh, and they are made out of human flesh then, why don’t they eat each other? And another thing, our teeth are the teeth of an omnivore and not meant to be “tearing” out big hunks of flesh like you see in the movies—just doesn’t work for me. And….if a zombie didn’t eat for a long time then it could be assumed that would waste away (going on the assumption that they had to have “fresh humans” to dine on) since there bodies would run out of energy. And since they are totaly stupid then how do they know who is a zombie and who is not??? As you can tell, my mind works in some uncertain circles!!!!!
