86:a silly dream come true…..

Well, last week I got the pleasure of 1: hosting my son’s 16th birthday party at a place called GameFace. He invited 10 of his best “buds”. They played each other in Halo and ate tons of cheap pizza and cupcakes. They had a blast. And 2: attend a artist reception at http://www.art-merchant-intl.com/events.html. I got the guts up and approached the owners of Art Merchant International to see if they might be interested in selling my art dolls. They unfortunately had closed their call for new artists but I was invited to give them a piece for auction at thier up coming arti-gra. It is a party/fund raiser for the Monroe city art’s council. Along with the party is an auction of art pieces. My cat doll will be one of the pieces auctioned off. Now the dream part: I have often envied other artists who have “art openings” and gala parties. It all looks so romantic and well…artsy LOL. When I arrived there was my name tag that said, Linda Hansen, artist–YIPPEE!! I visited with some friends that I ran into there and ate good finger food–and felt oh so grown up.
