Hello! This is Mimi here! today I’m going to talk about my school fashion show, well, I don’t really know what to say so I’m probably going to ramble but, I hope you’ll enjoy reading this! I’ll start from the beginning…. it started last year or the year before that, for my b-day I got this totally awesome present, it was a little paper clothes making kit. you take stencils and trace around them then cut them out and put sparkles or stuff like that on it. I enjoyed it so much I decided right then and there that I was going to be a fashion designer! and that’s how it started, then a little later I decided to change. everything. clothes, personality, EVERYTHING. I like to call myself the ‘remix’ of everything I was. Then I started to dress differently, then I started to make my own clothes. At first people gave me weird looks, but, after a little while I got used to it. Some people would say “Your kinda…..*awkward pause*……weird” or “what ever, your just weird” hurtful things like that, but, I told myself ” I’m different, not weird! I’m just ahead of the crowd! I’m heading the right way and I believe that this is what I should do!” Oh, and one girl said to me “I wouldn’t wear your clothes!” what is that supposed to mean?! sigh…. anyhoo, I’ll get to the point. I dress different than everyone else and totally absolutely happy about it. End of story but, I probably should talk about the outfit, okay so I made everything you see here except the tights, shoes, and parasol. So, I made the shirt our of a ugly dress I bought a value village, it had shoulder pads. I took those out but, still, they were square-ish, so I just took the shoulders out and kept the sleeve ^^ then I took this cute fabric my dad gave me and made this skirt! Then the leg warmers were made out of a pair of p****as bottoms (it’s a secret… but, kinda easy one to guess) oh and if you look closely you can see cute squirrels on them ^^ my dad was late to the show so he didn’t get to see the first part, but, he got to see the second part. This is Amelia (a.k.a. Mimi) Hansen of S.G.P. (Shattered Glass Productions) signing out!
Thanks for reading and hope I’ll get to guest blog again^^ Bye-bye! ;P
(oh and I look bad in this picture ’cause my knee cracked and well, you can see how it’s bent in wards….. and I had no make up!)

Mimi went to a hockey game on Saturday night with her church youth group….now she is not a fan or anything but “everybody else” was going so she wanted to go too. At about 9:30 we get a call from her telling us that she had just won a 42 inch flat screen t.v.!!!!! Oh, and she had been on the big screen too! What an excited girl. This unfortunately did not bring out the best in the boys though–they were terribly jealous, sigh. Scott and I just had to look at each other and say, where oh where are we going to put it???? I will be picking it up on wednesday. Isn’t God full of surprises?

I made this bunny capelet for Mimi last week—it is made out of the “minki” fabric and a swirly fur. She picked the fabric pattern. The pattern was a free one in the first Gothic Lolita magazine. Ha, I refuse to let my daughter buy stuff that I can make ;0) She loves it and it seldom leaves her body. It has been such a big hit that a friend of hers from church (who has the same name, Amelia!!!) has comissioned me to make her one….I am charging $50. Normaly it would not be that much but the white fur was AWFUL to work with..it was like working with asbestos..fuzzy stuff EVERYWHERE.

My daughter and I were at Target yesterday just wandering around the store killing time. Mimi was wearing her tutu, fingerless gloves, arm warmers, leggins, converse tennis shoes and a kitty earred hat (among other things LOL). An older lady poked her in the arm and proceeded to tell her how lovely she was. She went on for sometime telling her that she was a beautiful young woman and that she obviously had her own mind and taste and expressed it in her dressing style. She said that girls today are taught to comform to societies mold as early as 8 years old. That Mimi got alot of flack from her friends but that was because they were jealous and did not have the confidence or bravery to be who they were. She told her to be who she is and that that is a beautiful thing and that when you do you will be happy and do great things. At first Mimi was caught of guard by this and a bit embarassed (she told her thank you) but as the lady continued to talk to her she just beamed with pleasure. When this lady was done, she walked off around the corner. I told Mimi, “I think she was an angel!”. What an awesome blessing to my daughter..this woman/angel was totaly right and I pray that Mimi takes her words and keeps them deep in her heart!
I am sure there are angels out there (“we entertain angels unaware…”) and that I met one yesterday.

Mimi and I are planning on going to a BJG/EGL convention in August. I had earlier made her a backpack for her dolls and this one I made for my Big doll. The body is made out of heavy weight timtex covered with a brocade type material that Scott gave me for Christmas many years ago. The ends are tufted. I wanted the whole thing to look like a opulent pillow. The closure is velcro.
The shoulder straps are long enough for me to wear in hopes that it will leave my arms free for shopping and keep my backaches at bay.
Tifa fits in it perfectly…there is just alittle room to maybe add some clothes, shoes or small accessories that I might buy.

I cut a piece of fake fur to fit along the bottom to further protect her resin.
